Hi, my name is Dan.
I like motorcycles —they’re pure kinetic art. I also greatly enjoy creative collaboration with writers and artists, and have been lucky to work with some very energetic and innovative folks. I’m crap at racquetball. And before finding my calling in visual communications, I earned a liberal arts degree in English literature.
After receiving my Master’s in Design from the University of Notre Dame —a unique 3-year program with that encourages collaborative thinking and cross-disciplinary engagement (with an emphasis on social design) —I came straight to Kansas (where my wife has been a faculty member in Graphic Design at Kansas State University since 2007). Along with consulting, occasional artist collaboration and work for non-profits, I currently design for K-State’s Division of Continuing (Distance) Education.
I also sometimes write (and occasionally present) on design-related matters: link
